Fairfield manager Aurelien has returned to the team after a long spell away. His goal is now to lead the team back to the top division where it was before he left. His old riders are slowly being sold off and replaced by younger riders whose skills are still reasonable.

Haha getting to Volta again will take a couple seasons I imagine.
I remember you! welcome back :) - I see you in Volta (again)
I remember days I sold hired and sold 3..
Imagine team-spirit was active then...
Wow lol. I do remember the day-trading period after the 30-day release period was put in but BEFORE the 30-day sale period was put in... where slico would sign a cheap guy and immediately sell him at 5k above release value, basically very quickly splitting the profit with that team.
@trackstah. And even before that you didn't have to hold him for 30 days. You could just hold him for 5 rb days and then release for nice profit. Then 30 days and 29k min ;)
That was a nice recoup of the good/bad old days, trackstah :)
But very nice to see one of the legendary old teams return. Good luck!
LOL, thats pretty funny. Well I'm glad the $29k rule came into effect, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to make any money for my guys.
Oh, Finz (Royals!) and Justin (Hommerts) were also in the game. Would have forgotten them if they hadn't commented below! And Gradient Levellers did it casually I think. F5ing was a sideshow.
it was pretty competitive for a while... till the 29k rule came into effect :D
to figure out when guys were gonna pop up in the next day or so. Then once the cheap guy was on your team, you'd hold onto him for 30 days, get his DP/RS up, and release him for 35k, making a huge profit for absolutely no work aside from F5ing. It was Depression-era real estate speculation of the OCM variety. Between me, my brother, alberta 1, redop, NECFTW, and sprint4live, it was pretty competit
Hahaha... When rider release value had no minimum (29k), there would be guys who would show up on the hire list for like $9,700 or $13,400. I even got one for $5,600 once. But no one knew exactly when they'd pop up, so they'd refresh (F5) the hire list page every 15-30 seconds all day. You could sort the riders page by lowest DP and look for guys with 10 DP, 30 RS, and No Team to figure out when g
I have to ask what F5ing is.
I didn't realize how long you'd been gone! Truman Vancil was a 25yo star for EEO when you left, and now he's a 37yo on the transfer list! And I hadn't even had a star yet at that time! Erskine Pettis was just some guy and F5ing was just becoming the norm. Anyway, hope you enjoy newOCM, a world of talents, tactics, and expensive transfers!
Thanks Trackstah! I did love that season with him.
I really should have sold him off when I stopped playing, but sadly I didn't expect to be gone so long.
Welcome back!
Vernon Kings, the first prominent American rider I ever knew, returns!!
His Season 11 was one of the best in OCM-USA history!

i think major changes is teams spirit, roles of the riders and the new calender. And the changing of riders performance over time
Yep I managed to read up and like the new rider role changes!
Better start reading about the changes that have been done
Goodluck with your rise back up the rankings
Long time ago! Welcome back and good luck!
